About

Evie Wang (王绮) is an academic librarian and photographer based in the Greater Atlanta Area in the United States. She earned her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on archives and academic librarianship.

Her perspective is shaped by the experience of living in China, Singapore, and the U.S., and enriched by a liberal arts education at Agnes Scott College where she studied Music and Classics. Her multidisciplinary background and passion for creativity continue to inform her professional and personal pursuits.

As the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Oglethorpe University, Evie is committed to empowering students and faculty through information literacy, fostering intellectual and cultural competencies, and advocating for open access to knowledge.

Through the lens, Evie seeks to capture the essence of cityscapes, the interplay of light and shadow, and emotions concealed in quotidian scenes. Beyond photography, she enjoys working on graphic design and music projects, as well as learning languages both ancient and modern.
