Evie Wang (王绮) is an academic librarian and photographer based in the Greater Atlanta Area in the United States. She earned her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on archives and academic librarianship.
Her perspective is shaped by growing up in Chongqing, China, spending her formative years in Singapore, and strengthening her voice in the United States. She studied Music and Classics at Agnes Scott College, where a liberal arts education nurtured her multidisciplinary curiosity that continues to inspire her professional and creative pursuits.
As the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Oglethorpe University, Evie is committed to empowering students and faculty through information literacy, fostering intellectual and cultural competencies, and amplifying marginalized voices in her daily work.
Through the lens, Evie seeks to capture the essence of cityscapes, the interplay of light and shadow, and emotions concealed in quotidian scenes. Beyond photography, she enjoys working on graphic design and music projects, as well as learning languages both ancient and modern.
